City of Palaces and Banana: The Artificial Insemination(AI) concept was initiated by Maharaja for the first time in Mysuru. This union reciprocated by organizing “Cluster Artificial Insemination (AI) Centres” covering 7 talukas and more than 1105 functional DCSs.

The dairy with 10 TLPD capacity has been expanded in phases and now it has 3 LLPD capacity.

It has chilling centres at Hunsur-100 TLPD  .Total chilling capacity 100 TLPD. There are 110 Bulk Milk Coolers, 702 Automatic Milk Collection in the union.

The union procures on an Average 6.16 lakh kg/day of milk,sells 2.31 lakh litres/per day and 0.39 litres/day of curd.The Union also produces Butter, Ghee, SMP, Cream , Burfi, Peda, Paneer, Nandini Bite & Mysorepak.

Excellence: Union with highest milk parlours in the city; Pioneer in establishing Fodder Densification Unit in South India; First to construct ground level water storage tanks in many DCSs for making available drinking water to cattle during drought
